Terrific Tuesday

Today was TERRIFIC! We managed to remember Family Prayer in the morning before Annabelle drove the two girls to seminary.  I made Roman cinnamon toast (wow) and drove him to basketball which starts at 7am.  I read scriptures and wrote in my journal and prayed. Devon and I touched bases about this week.  I met Sharon Adams at 8:50 and we walked to Institute.  Institute was wonderful as usual.  Sharon and I walked home and caught up on each others lives. It was cold outside, frost was everywhere, but the walk was refreshing.  I took a bath when I got home.  Then I took a nap.  (Hooray!!!) It was a day just for me.  Annabelle went to work at Pullman Disposal. ANd so did Dane, Sean, and Devon.  After school Roman and I went to the co-op for goats milk and Roman got a gourmet macaroni and cheese from their deli.  Then we went to Winco.  We unloaded grocery's.  Dane ate lots of chicken strips after helping me unload. We saved some for Daphne who was sewing her ballet shoes.  (apparently Effie went to Kandices after school and forgot to tell anyone and we all thought she was sleeping in her room) I took Daphne to ballet late at 4:50. I made Sausage potato soup.  Annabelle unloaded and I loaded the dishes and put squash in the oven and cleaned the rest of the kitchen.  Devon brought Daphne home and Effie too and we blessed the food and ate.  Devon took off to meet a buyer for his Impala.  We calendared December at our family counsel and decided how we would celebrate the birth of Christ this year.  We will pray for missionary or service experiences.  We will do a good deed for someone outside our home everyday.  We will do a service to a family member or a job for the family everyday.  We decided to do genealogy, baptisms for the dead, the food bank, bring people to the nativity, humanitarian aid, and other projects as they arise. We read from Ether in the book of Mormon because we want to finish by january. Then we watched some videos on lds.org about Kurdish

refugees and about the savior and Christs birth.

Daily December

This is my first post, I don't have the slightest idea what I am doing, but here it goes.  This year has been one of the hardest years of my family's lives.  Everyone seems to have tailor made "growth opportunities" That have stretched us to the breaking point.  Tomorrow is the first day of December. We have a plan to live each day, and to do everything we do, with intention. These pictures and journal entry's represent a little slice of life from every day.  It's not for the whole world to see.  It is mostly just for me, to check in with my creative side, and remember everyday, why it is I do, the things I do, and for our family, to look back and remember.  love, Deb
